Vegeta reaching the Super Saiyan level was such a huge moment for me because he has been pushing himself so hard in that training room. I know people say the monologue in the gravity chamber was mostly filler, but I think it really showed how much his pride was hurting and it really helped explain why he was able to reach that level while he was alone in space.
