bulma is still complaining on namek while goku is out here risking his life and the whole planet is literally falling apart around them

goku stays to finish frieza and the five minutes countdown feels like an eternity because they keep cutting back to earth

The wait for this planet to finally blow up is getting a bit ridiculous and the cutaways to everyone safe on Earth really took the tension out of the duel but Goku being so confident is still fun to watch and he is really talking down to Frieza now which is a nice change of pace after everything he has been through in this fight

That line about Frieza being finished by a Saiyan was the highlight for me and seeing him actually look scared of Goku for once was great

I felt so stressed when Frieza started charging up his full power, because Goku is literally just letting him do it like a total idiot

The sarcasm from Goku is such a big change from how he usually acts, and it makes the fight feel way more personal now that he has the upper hand

Watching the fight get interrupted by Bulma and the others on Earth was so annoying because the focus should have stayed on Namek instead of seeing more Piccolo flashbacks

It felt so lonely once Goku was the only one left on Namek because all his friends were safe on Earth and he was ready to sacrifice himself to win

The way the timer went from two minutes to one minute after a whole episode of people talking on Earth was actually hilarious and this planet is taking forever to explode

It makes no sense for Goku to just stand there and let Frieza power up to 100 percent because he already saw what happened to Krillin and he is just being reckless

Frieza looking nervous for once while Goku just stares him down is so satisfying because he has been acting like he is untouchable for this whole arc

I really hated all those flashbacks and it totally killed the mood while Namek is supposed to be blowing up in two minutes but we are just standing around watching Piccolo think about the past

This entire episode felt like it was moving in slow motion because they kept jumping back to the dragon on Earth and showing us long flashbacks that we already saw ten minutes ago. It is really frustrating to see Goku finally becoming the strongest in the universe only for the show to drag out the clock and make two minutes feel like an hour

I really felt for Gohan when he had to leave his dad behind on a dying world, and Goku was just too stubborn to quit

Why is Goku letting him reach full power instead of just ending this nightmare before the planet turns into stardust

Seeing the rocks float and the ground break apart under their power really made me feel how much energy these two are throwing around

The tension of the fight completely disappears every time the scene cuts back to Earth, and it feels like they are just stalling for time

Frieza looks so pathetic and weak now that Goku is just standing there taking hits without even flinching

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 102 lands deep in the final stretch of the iconic Frieza saga, following the successful evacuation of Namek's survivors and narrowing the focus to Goku's lone stand against Frieza as the planet crumbles. As a filler episode, it extends the climactic confrontation without advancing the source material, but it bridges the gap between Namek's evacuation and the saga's ultimate resolution. The next stretch of episodes will determine the fates of both combatants and transition the series into its next major arc.
