Episode Context

As episode 61 of 61, this is the definitive series finale, arriving after the long peace that followed the Majin Buu saga's resolution and the preceding episode's reintroduction of the World Martial Arts Tournament setting. It transitions from the conclusion of the show's final major conflict into an epilogue that emphasizes new beginnings rather than endings. The episode sets the thematic stage for what lies beyond the series, planting seeds around Goku and Uub's dynamic that point toward the franchise's future.
