Episode Context

Sitting at episode 40 of 61, this lands squarely in the Majin Buu saga's middle act, directly following Gotenks' emergence from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with new techniques ready to deploy. The episode translates that training payoff into action, serving as a critical proving ground for whether fusion power can actually match Buu's regenerative might. It sets the stage for escalating confrontations and the transformations still to come as the saga barrels toward its climax.
