Episode Context

Sitting near the midpoint of The Final Chapters at episode 28 of 61, this installment marks a critical juncture in the Majin Buu saga. Goku's direct confrontation serves as the bridge between the initial chaos of Buu's awakening and the longer strategic battle that will define the arc's second half. The previous episode set the stage with Goku's preparation to face Buu head-on, and this episode's events will directly shape the power dynamics and character decisions that drive the next stretch of episodes forward.
