Episode Context

Sitting roughly at the one-third mark of the Final Chapters, this episode follows the devastating re-emergence of Majin Buu and pivots away from direct confrontation toward preparation, a critical narrative gear shift. It introduces the Fusion concept as the heroes' best countermeasure, laying foundational groundwork that Goten and Trunks will build on across the coming stretch of episodes. Everything that follows in the Buu saga's training and combat sequences traces back to the strategy outlined here.
