Episode Context

As the first episode of 61, this serves as the entry point to the Majin Buu saga, the final major arc of Dragon Ball Z Kai. It bridges the gap from the Cell saga's conclusion by establishing a peacetime setting and introducing key new characters like Videl who will play significant roles going forward. The lighthearted tone here is deliberately foundational, it builds the normalcy that future threats will shatter.
