📖 SYNOPSIS
Broly should have died — plain and simple. That's the whole problem. After Goku barely put him down in their first encounter, the Legendary Super Saiyan crash-lands on Earth and goes into hibernation like some kind of rage-fueled cryogenic nightmare. Years pass, everything's peaceful, and then Trunks and Goten — two kids just goofing around being kids — accidentally wake him up. Broly takes one look at Goten, sees Kakarot's face, and completely loses it. Now two children are being hunted by the single most dangerous being in the universe, and Gohan is racing to get there before things go from bad to catastrophic.
This 1994 Toei Animation movie works because it nails the tonal balance that Dragon Ball Z does best. One minute Trunks and Goten are bickering and doing dumb kid stuff, the next Broly is tearing through mountains trying to end them. The animation holds up where it counts — the fight choreography hits hard, and Broly's transformation sequences still look genuinely intimidating. The soundtrack knows exactly when to escalate.
If you enjoyed Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound or The Return of Cooler, this fits right in that same tier of Z movies — tight runtime, no filler, just setup and payoff. Fans who later loved Battle of Gods will appreciate how this one lets the next generation of Saiyans step up before that became the norm. It's a quick watch at one episode, and Broly earns every bit of his reputation here.
