Episode Context

This episode sits deep in the Shadow Dragon Saga, arriving after Goku's grueling clash with the Shenron brothers and marking a transition point in the arc's escalation. It serves as a bridge between the twin-dragon confrontation and the emergence of Syn Shenron, the One-Star Dragon and the saga's ultimate antagonist. What happens here directly sets the tone and conditions for GT's final stretch.
