Episode Context

Sitting at episode 54 of 64, this episode arrives deep in the Shadow Dragon Saga after Goku and Pan have already dismantled several of the corrupted dragons born from overuse of the Dragon Balls. Nuova Shenron represents a marked escalation in raw power and elemental danger, signaling that the saga's endgame threats are now fully in play. The confrontation here feeds directly into the next episode, where Bulma works to boost Vegeta's power, a development that broadens the battlefield beyond Goku alone.
