Episode Context

This episode arrives directly after Goku's Super Saiyan 3 form fails to overcome Baby, marking a low point in his confrontation with that threat. Rather than continuing the battle, GT pivots here into an otherworldly scenario that sidelines Goku's power entirely, effectively resetting his position heading into the next stretch of episodes. It lays the groundwork for a journey toward reclaiming strength before the inevitable rematch with Baby.
