I was not ready for the gore from Magma and Gen, it was so unexpected because of how otherwise wholesome the imagery has been so far. It brought back lots of the tension and reminded me that not all the village people are friendly. Kohaku's tournament thing was so cool too!

The whole conclusion with Gen was amazing, he's one of my favorite characters! The whole alliance and agreement between the two felt anything BUT flimsy, as the title claims. The mutual respect and bond between them feels so real! Great build on Gen's character in just 2 episodes

The amount of subplots and things added to Senku's list of inventions to do are crazy, whats even the progress on the sulfa drug.. overall this episode was an alright watch, the pacing was good and all the payoffs felt well-earned in the previous episodes.

Senku and his friends sucessfully tested the lightbulb that they've been working on like crazy for days, meanwhile Gen Asagari became an unlikely ally to Senku's goal to rapidly civilize the world that they are living in.

Making a generator? really. Seeing the village freak out over "magic" light was gold. The fans are loving the shift from survival to straight-up engineering. It's a huge win for the Kingdom of Science. Everyone are just amazed

This felt like a huge leap. Not loud. Not explosive. But big. You can feel the gap between the stone world and the modern world shrinking. I was genuinely impressed.

Kinro adjusting his glasses while being serious? Relatable nerd guard energy 😂. Animation on his stance and glare crisp. Atmosphere duty-bound and honorable. Felt his pride and growth potential hard.

Episode 10 focuses on shifting loyalties as Senku forms a shaky alliance with Gen, proving brains win wars before they even start. The psychological chess match adds tension beneath the humor, and every calculated move brings the Kingdom of Science closer to real power.

Gen! He's a double-edged sword, but I'm glad he chose Senku. His acting for Tsukasa was incredible! I was so nervous he’d reveal Senku is alive. I was shocked when he got stabbed—thought his character was way too interesting to die like that!

The tournament setup is interesting. Animation was solid, especially the fight scenes. Gen's true intentions still unclear. Gen switching sides? Or playing both? Hard to tell with liars fr.

I actually really enjoyed Gen in this episode. Sure, he got dealt with and then laid around for most of the episode, but you could see that he already knew where his allegiance lay and even though Senku knew it too, there had to be something in it for Gen.

A setup episode as the pacing slows. However, the character expressions remain great and hilarious. It's clearly building up to something much bigger.

Episode 10 focuses on strategy as Senku forms a temporary alliance to strengthen the Kingdom of Science. I liked how the episode shows that intelligence and negotation can be just as powerful as physical strength. The tension between trust and suspicion makes it interesting.

So hyped to see Gen actually stick with the Kingdom of Science— such a huge win! Senku actually delivering on that bottle of cola was a pretty cool reminder that even something as simple as a fizzy drink is enough to build a real alliance even in the stone world....

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the season's midpoint, episode 10 marks a critical shift from the early science-driven momentum into the more complex territory of village politics and alliance-building. Previous episodes established Senku's technological ambitions and the resources at stake; this episode reframes the challenge as an interpersonal one, testing whether fragile partnerships can hold under pressure. It directly sets the stage for the escalating conflicts and power plays that will define the season's second half.
