One of the most refreshing first episodes ever. The whole science angle instantly sets it apart. Senku is super fun to watch with how confidently he approaches everything. I really like how fast it establishes the world. Some science is simplified, but it keeps the flow smooth.

Insane episode with such a unique premise, Senku feels a little underdeveloped though; there's little explanation on how he is so knowledgeable on science matters or how he crafted so many things as a high schooler..

Both Taiju and Senku are such a dynamic duo right off the bat! The development after the world turns to stone helps soften the blow and even explain Taiju's feelings for Yuzuriha, emphasizing the jarring contrast between the stone world before and after the beam!

A new take on the anime genre, in this very first episode, we see that the stakes were high for humanity because they were petrified, and only our midget genius MC and his big oaf friend can turn things around.

Dr. Stone is a fantastic anime that is both fun and thought-provoking. It proves that knowledge is power, and that with creativity and teamwork, we can overcome even the biggest challenges. Whether you love science or just enjoy the adventure, this show is definitely worth watch.

The concept of waking up after 3700 years of petrification is insane. Senku immediately counting seconds shows his genius and determination. This premiere sets up a survival story unlike anything else.

A visual masterclass. As an artist, I love the transition to the primitive "blank canvas." The contrast between grey stone and vibrant greens is stunning. Senku's silhouette is iconic and a great design.

Episode 1 caught my attention with how suddenly everything changed from a normal day to complete disaster. I liked how Senku stayed calm and focused on science instead of panicking, which shows his strong personality. The ending made me excited to see how they rebuild the world.

Yeah this hooked me instantly. One second it’s normal life, next second the whole world turns to stone. No buildup. Just chaos. Watching Senku wake up and immediately start calculating instead of panicking tells you everything about him. I was like okay… this is different.

Senku whipping out that test tube in the first ep? Bro was already in scientist mode fr 😭. Animation on his smirk and quick hands was clean af. Vibe went from stone world shock to “we're rebuilding everything” hype real quick. Got me locked in, this guy's energy is insane.

Episode 1 opens with the shocking petrification of humanity and Senku’s long-awaited revival. The mystery instantly hooks you, and his determination to rebuild civilization through science sets up an exciting and unique premise.

Funny how Ep 1 makes you think Taiju is the main character! But Senku is the real star. The plot is brilliant—rebuilding the world from scratch is so cool. As someone working in science, I can say this show makes it look super fun. Definitely not boring, just really interesting!

First episode was unique ngl. Taiju is either romantic or insane lol, bro's dedicated fr. Animation was clean, especially the decay of civilization over time. Interested to see where this goes.

The story concept is creative, epic in scale, and serious yet fun at the same time. Every human in the world, and some of the animals, were somehow turned into stone. This is really amazing, i think i am already hooked.

Because of the green light, Taiju couldn't confess. When they woke up and met Senku, they started from scratch to survive. The great duo joined forces again: brain and muscles.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the first episode of a 24-episode season, 'Stone World' is pure foundation — establishing the petrification event, the core duo of Senku and Taiju, and the scope of the challenge ahead. Nothing precedes it, and everything builds from here. The next episode, 'King of the Stone World,' escalates immediately as the pair begins working to revive others and confront the realities of rebuilding civilization from zero.
