Episode Context

Four episodes from the finale, this entry arrives right after the Yokai Patrol squared off against Kogarashi Kozou's animal-control scheme, continuing the series' pattern of introducing escalating and inventive yokai threats. Ghoship represents a step up in scale, an airborne, living vessel rather than a single creature, signaling the show ramping toward its endgame. It feeds directly into the next episode, 'The Yokai Hell Holiday-House,' keeping the team in near-constant motion through a gauntlet of diverse adversaries.
