Episode Context

Coming off 'Choice,' which established the SCM's rules and premise, 'Shackles' is the first real escalation, deepening character entanglements and raising the moral stakes before the season's trajectory darkens further. As episode two of twelve, it functions as essential groundwork, locking characters into positions that feed directly into the aptly named third episode, 'Abuse.' This is where the show transitions from setup to consequence.
