Episode Context

This episode concludes the two-part 'Country of Ichi the Puppy' storyline, following the previous episode 'Bonding,' which established the emotional foundation of Nobita's connection with Ichi. It delivers the payoff and resolution to that setup. The series then pivots back to its trademark lighter tone with the next episode, 'Let's Go to a Hot Spring with Shizuka-chan / But Doraemon Wants a Mom,' making this a natural emotional peak before a comedic reset.
