Episode Context

Episode 157 sits comfortably in Doraemon's long-running episodic format, following 'Big Rampage! Nobita's Baby' and leading into 'Farewell from the Window.' As a standalone double-segment entry, it doesn't advance a serialized plot but continues the series' core mission of pairing inventive gadget concepts with Nobita's everyday struggles. Its placement between a baby-themed comedy and what sounds like a more sentimental farewell episode suggests a lighter, palate-cleansing installment.
