Episode Context

As the series opener of a 12-episode run, this episode exists entirely to establish the comedic contract with the audience: Masato wants independence, Mamako is overwhelmingly present, and the game world is their battleground for family dynamics. Everything introduced here, the mother-son tension, Mamako's ridiculous combat power, the RPG framework, serves as the foundation the remaining eleven episodes will build on with new party members and escalating scenarios.
