DO S NA PET HAS NO VOTE THIS WEEK
Synopsis
Quiet, shy, and a little too comfortable with loneliness, Riko is the kind of person the world barely notices. she lives on her own. Then her uncle Rikuto shows up at her door, broke and desperate. He used to be this confident guy she looked up to, but now he's basically begging for a place to crash, and in a moment of desperation, offers to become her "pet" if she'll let him stay. Riko, maybe out of curiosity, maybe out of something deeper, agrees. That's the setup for Do S na Pet, a 2025 OVA from studio Nur that leans hard into the power dynamic between these two as their living arrangement gets increasingly complicated. Fair warning: this is hentai, so it goes exactly where you think it does, but the underlying tension between who holds the power and how that shifts gives it more texture than you'd expect from the premise alone. The cohabitation angle carries a weird emotional weight: Riko isn't just playing a role, she's filling a void, and Rikuto's willingness to submit says a lot about where he's at mentally. If you've seen stuff like My Life as Inukai-san's Dog and wanted that pet dynamic played completely straight without the comedy filter, or if Menacing Dog's brand of uncomfortable intimacy was your thing, this hits a similar nerve. It's not trying to be wholesome. It knows what it is, and it commits.

Do s na pet
i did not expect riko to flip the switch that fast and seeing her go from shy to actually barking orders at her uncle was intense
the transition from a sad family reunion to Riko literally owning him was such a trip and her eyes totally changed in that final scene
you expect these shows to be simple, but the way they focus on their mutual desperation and isolation makes it feel a lot more depressing than you might expect
i really did not see Riko having that side to her but seeing her look down at Rikuto while he was on the floor really set the mood for the rest of the show and my brain actually stalled at how fast she took control of the situation even though she was supposedly this shy quiet girl at the start
that moment where she finally gives in to her darker urges and accepts his offer was the highlight and the animation on her expression was great
the family dynamic here is just way too uncomfortable and seeing a grown man act like a pet for his niece is just gross
the loneliness in Riko's apartment felt so real, but watching her flip that switch to power made me realize how much she was hiding
it felt weird seeing Rikuto beg his own niece for a place to stay but seeing her face when she started getting into the dominant role hit me hard
you can tell this is going to get dark because the atmosphere is so heavy and Riko seems way too comfortable bossing her uncle around
studio nur really nailed the shift in her personality and it is wild how quickly she started treating him like an actual animal
Riko flipped the script so fast and the way she just accepted the pet idea was crazy
ricuto being a confident guy who suddenly wants to be a dog for rico is such a massive shift and seeing him actually go through with it is fascinating
the soft colors made everything look so pretty to me even when the stuff happening between rico and ricuto felt so heavy and tense
i was not expecting this show to get so deep into the psychology of why ricuto would even want to be a pet but it works so well and the way rico just flips her personality when she gets power over him is actually kind of scary, especially with that contrast between the cute art style, and the messed up things she says
you can really see the tension when ricuto just gives up all his pride to get her forgiveness and it makes for such a weirdly gripping dynamic
seeing rico go from that shy girl to someone so controlling was wild and it was a shock when she took the pet offer so seriously
The animation for this looks better than I expected, and the way Rico switches from being a regular niece to that dominant persona is actually pretty scary. It feels weird seeing Rikuto just give in like that, but the pacing kept things moving fast enough. Seeing him completely submissive by the end of the episode really set the tone.
Rico has such a mean streak, and watching her break down her uncle was surprisingly tense. It's rare to see a lead this unapologetically bossy.
The final scene with her uncle on the floor feels heavy because Rico has zero mercy for him
