Episode Context

As Episode 1 of 48, this is pure foundation, nothing precedes it, and everything follows from it. The key relationships and institutional framework introduced here, particularly DATS and Masaru's first contact with the Digimon world, are the scaffolding the entire series builds on. What feels like a contained street-level adventure is actually the first domino in a much larger story about human-Digimon partnerships and the escalating threats crossing between worlds.
