Great advice by Mana, "keep walking" can be applied to irl too. Also, the Earl is the creepiest character I have ever seen. I do appreciate the decent Allen backstory. Lenalee as a character is pretty sick too ngl.

Not only is this a continuation of last episodes fight, we also get some background on Allen this episode. Great episode overall.

Yaas Lenalee, legs for daaays! Loved her powers and I hope she is given more chances to show them! We empathize even more with Allen this episode, his journey has been difficult from the start. The Millenium Earl declares his intentions for humanity. It's all very foreboding.

We get to know Allen better with the reveal of his backstory. The scene of the Earl manipulating Allen has huge Faustian vibes: The monochrome characters against the bloody red sky is beautifully edgy. Lenalee also gets her graceful time to shine. A grim episode with some action!

The Millennium Earl is truly evil. He exploits the grief and weakness of the people who lost their loved ones to turn them into an Akuma. That makes his character even more cruel and disturbing.

The show pauses the chaos just long enough to explain why Innocence is such a big deal before throwing everyone back into danger again.

Another emotionally driven case where the tragedy behind the Akuma is the real focus. The mystery itself is simple, but the atmosphere and somber tone help the episode land with the audience.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving at episode seven of 103, this episode follows the fallout of Allen confronting the consequences of his choices in the previous episode and serves as the series' first significant pause to establish who Allen truly is beneath the surface. Rather than advancing the plot outward, it deepens the foundation inward. This backstory groundwork directly sets up 'The Black Order Annihilation Incident,' which raises the stakes considerably and demands a protagonist whose motivations the audience already understands.
