This episode dives deeper to the nature of humans and how they fear what they don’t know or understand. The visuals turn into a frantic, chaotic and unsettling nightmare. Mikis tragic death at the hands of fearful citizens she defended portrays the ultimate betrayal of innocence. It goes to show how blind fear turns ordinary humans into far worse monsters than actual demons.

This becomes clear in episode 9 when it becomes evident how hazardous the nature of man is. They lose sight of their principles of righteousness and choose to be driven by fear instead of truth.

Oh man this series has been really heartbreaking. Artistic but really rough for the feels! Makes me wonder about our human intentions in reality as well. Dark episode with some gut wrenching scenes. Grewsome fight scenes and peak animation again.

We now say "Peace be..." i mean, "Burn in hell!" This just shows that humans can be more monstrous than monster creature themselves. It's contemplating. It's where you ask, do humans deserve saving? Do we deserve a second chance? Should judgment day come upon us? Good luck!

This episode actually messed me up wow, I know this is a 10 episode limited series but I've felt connected to the main characters of this show since the beginning

Humanity collapses into hysteria. Witch hunts begin, mobs form, and innocent people are slaughtered out of fear. Akira tries desperately to protect those he loves, but the cruelty of humanity proves just as terrifying as any demon.

Trivia: Yuasa sped up chaotic scenes & broke visual motifs to mimic panic, making you squirm in your seat. Miki’s death hits like a gut punch. Innocence crushed, mobs raging, Akira losing it. Searing light, hushed atmosphere, haunting voice acting show humans are the real demons

Savage and shocking. The show doesn’t hold back and shows that humans can be scarier than monsters. Every scene hits hard emotionally, and the music in the baton scene makes it even more heartbreaking. The world feels dark, unpredictable, and unforgettable.
