This episode fully focused on Tanjirou vs the demon. Nonstop action with less flashback that didn’t disturb the rhythm of the action scene. It was satisfying and didn’t make us wait long. At the end it left us eager to watch the next episode.

This demon is out here trying to kill people but he is more worried about getting dust on his kimono and the personality contrast between him and the girl is great

Watching that demon girl sprout four extra arms just to throw more balls was grotesque, but the way Tanjiro had to track all those invisible arrows made the fight feel so complex

It actually got to me when Nezuko started seeing Tamayo as her mother because of that hypnotic suggestion from Urokodaki, and it explains why she went so hard on the defense, plus the fight felt personal and those water effects look better than anything else airing right now, and the way she kicked that ball back was incredible

That ball went through the house like a cannon and the way it kept bouncing and destroying everything was intense

Yushiro getting his head blasted off by a toy ball was such a shock and his body walking around looking for it was so weird

Tanjiro adapting his forms to match the spinning momentum was such a smart move and that horizontal water wheel looked gorgeous with the dragon animation

The eyes on that arrow demon hands are so creepy and the way he just tosses Tanjiro around like a ragdoll using invisible lines is brutal

I was so hyped when Nezuko started kicking those balls back with enough force to crack the pavement and her regeneration speed is actually unreal

The water effects during the tenth form dragon look so good and the way the animation flows with Tanjiros sword is incredible because you can really feel the weight of those temari balls hitting the ground

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 9 is a direct consequence of Tanjiro's fateful encounter with Muzan Kibutsuji in Episode 8, that confrontation painted a target on his back, and now the retaliation arrives in full force. Sitting roughly at the season's one-third mark, this episode escalates the threat level significantly and feeds directly into Episode 10, 'Together Forever,' as alliances and battles continue to evolve. It marks the transition from Tanjiro proving himself as a slayer to facing enemies that operate on a fundamentally higher tier.
