Episode Context

Sitting at the midpoint of this four-episode OVA, this installment follows 'Nobusuma: Rot-Pus Suck Demon,' which established Enma and his team as demon hunters operating in a world where human vice attracts supernatural predators. Where the opener leaned on that predator-and-prey dynamic more directly, this episode deepens the series' interest in human psychology as the true source of horror. It positions the narrative heading into 'Karuma: Misery Swirling Demon,' reinforcing the OVA's pattern of using each case to interrogate a different facet of human vulnerability.
