A gripping shift into the grittier side of Shinjuku! Veltol acting as Takahashi’s bodyguard brings great action, but it’s the chilling reveal of how the city's underbelly exploits immortals that completely changes the stakes. The dark, capitalist cyberpunk dystopia is brilliantly executed.

A nice visual of the anime with a filled action episode..great character development and pacing of the storyline..

Episode Context

Sitting at the one-third mark of the season, Episode 4 represents a clear tonal pivot, after Veltol's unconventional rise through streaming culture in Episode 3, the narrative now drags him into the city's criminal underbelly. This darker detour isn't a tangent; it's foundational setup, laying critical groundwork for the Immortal Furnace revelations coming in Episode 5. Think of this as the bridge episode where the show transitions from establishing its world to interrogating its secrets.
