the narrative continuously subverts standard fantasy expectations. transforming a traditional golem encounter into an agricultural harvesting opportunity perfectly encapsulates the series' unique, utilitarian approach to dungeon exploration.

im so in love with this show, its genuinely never boring here. senshi using the golems as a literal moving garden for his fresh vegetables is the most unhinged and creative thing ever. love him

every single episode just proves my theory that laios is on the spectrum and i am absolutely here for it. senshi casually growing a whole garden on the back of a living golem is absolute peak fiction. this anime literally never misses

Senshi’s creative gardening, his humility, and his attention to care for the dungeon is so charming! His obsession with food becomes a point of strength that helps Laios’ party get along with the scary orcs, giving a sweet ending to a fairly chill episode with cozy vibes.

We are walked through of the life and routine of Senshi and what things run through his mind inside the dungeon adding to how dependable the character is. I love how among the chaos, we always go back to cooking and the addition of stories in the middle to deepen the lore and our understanding of their world.

They hit the third dungeon floor and meet Senshi’s secret garden , giant golems acting like walking vegetable patches

Episode 4 turns its focus on Senshi, and shows how nicely this anime can give depth to what you think are one-note characters. Meanwhile, the story refocuses its direction towards Laios' original goal at the start, while giving its worldbuilding some TLC too. Great!

I never knew plants can grow on golems! That's what I saw in this episode. It may be simple but they add a little drama on the Golem farm of Senshi! Also as observed, animator put a lot on effort on the characters. Marcille changes hairstyles like in this episode!

As they explore deeper to the dungeon its hilarious that they focus on a good side as well of a balance diet it turns out it is scrumptious. I advise to eat before watching this anime it will make you hungry.

Episode 4 slows down but adds depth to the dungeon’s ecosystem. Senshi’s farming with golems feels gross yet logical, and the animation makes mud, cabbage, and undead oddly grounded. Orc scenes is fast, turning tension into shared meals, that survival isn’t always about fights.

As silly as it was, this felt more like a filler episode. he revelation of Senshi's role in the dungeon makes you grow even fonder of his character and it made me laugh when the party uses the orc's son against him. However, it felt a bit weak as a whole. The lore drop was nice!

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the living armor encounter in Episode 3, this episode marks the party's descent into the dungeon's third level and begins expanding the world's social dynamics beyond just cooking monsters. The orc encounter introduces broader thematic threads about interspecies relations that will carry significance as the group pushes deeper. At episode 4 of 24, this is still early-season foundation work, but it signals the narrative complexity waiting in the arcs ahead.
