EPISODE REVIEWS

there is a specific quality to older anime productions that contemporary shows rarely replicate in sustained tension sequences like this one. the craft in building dread through simple staging is something most modern productions have largely lost.

the opening of this episode hit in the worst possible way but in a way that made me feel something real. raye is genuinely so unlikeable and the writing makes no effort to soften that which honestly i respect

this episode was so nerve racking that it literally felt like the show was talking directly at me through the screen. the protagonist has a presence here that just makes everything feel COMPLETELY INESCAPABLE and i cannot look away.
