This moment definitely felt reminiscent of SAO when Kirito went to rescue Asuna, though thankfully, the enemy here isn't nearly as infuriating as the one in SAO was. That said, I'm still puzzled by the undead's ultimate goal. Is he a true antagonist, or is he just putting them through a trial to force them to grow stronger?
