Episode Context

Following Episode 0's depiction of the mothership's chaotic arrival, Episode 1 jumps forward three years to establish the new normal, this is the true foundation for the series' 17-episode run. It introduces the core cast and the central thematic tension between normalcy and catastrophe that will define the season. Everything here is setup: character dynamics, world rules, and the eerie complacency that later episodes will almost certainly disrupt.
