This episode I feels like a small bridge is being built. The peak moments happen when a simple gesture is made to brighten a bad day. The graphics are so precise that even the tiny labels on items in the background look 100% authentic to real life in Japan.
Probably my favorite part of this anime as a whole is the kind of film-like style such as the one at the first part of this episode. The vibes are really there and it was good to witness the thoughts and true feelings of Saki at different times.
Yes, interviewing for a job your stepbrother works at is lowkey weird. Also, the whole film reel recap is basically from Saki's perspective, I've realised. The bit of reversed music during it is also a cool touch. Pretty complicated emotions arise and things are quite tense.
