A spectacular finale. The animation remains beautiful, paired with a stunning soundtrack. While the ending is a bit bittersweet, it ultimately leans toward hope, leaving an open conclusion that softens the sorrow and highlights the sweetness.

yeah, my eyes are sweating again. One of the best anime endings. Just wish the action was toned down for more emotional moments--The fights still feel a bit stiff, but honestly? Still a 10/10. Don't skip the ending song! Watch until the LAST SECONDDDDDDD!!!!!

Hiro x Zero Two <3. May you two will be united in the next life. Itsumo arigatou, Atsushi Nishigori. Such a beautiful story. Makes me tear up

I teared up when the rest of Squad 13 sent their prayers from Earth. It is a bittersweet but beautiful end to their long journey.

Years later the survivors rebuild the world and create real families. In the final scene two children resembling Hiro and Zero Two meet again, hinting their love transcended time.

This anime was so good right from the start to the end. A sci-fi romance by the people living at a different world. The character development of ' zero two ' was well written both the past as well as the present which elevated the entire storyline as episodes progress.

This final episode have fantastic cinematic scene, even the pace is like gurren langan but still this series give me a special place in heart which are nostalgic but still execute their own distintive storyline.

I´m honestly glad...Even though he was (obviously and supposedly) obnoxious at first, I both kind of disliked his change in character and his new hairstyle. The "old" Mitsuru felt so much more like a well-defined character.

I love the ending it shows how hiro and zero two love each other they sacrifice their self to save their friends and promised each other to have a good life when they were reincarnated

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the final episode in a 24-episode run, this directly follows Episode 23's dramatic departure of Hiro and Zero Two toward VIRM space, resolving both their personal arc and humanity's broader fate in a single conclusion. The episode serves as the payoff for every relationship thread, thematic question, and world-building element the series has built since Episode 1 — from the early days of Plantation 13 through the VIRM revelation. There is nothing after this; it's the definitive ending, tasked with closing out every major character arc simultaneously.
