EPISODE REVIEWS

Pretty unusual but I like it!

A spectacular finale. The animation remains beautiful, paired with a stunning soundtrack. While the ending is a bit bittersweet, it ultimately leans toward hope, leaving an open conclusion that softens the sorrow and highlights the sweetness.

Episode Context

As the final episode in a 24-episode run, this directly follows Episode 23's dramatic departure of Hiro and Zero Two toward VIRM space, resolving both their personal arc and humanity's broader fate in a single conclusion. The episode serves as the payoff for every relationship thread, thematic question, and world-building element the series has built since Episode 1, from the early days of Plantation 13 through the VIRM revelation. There is nothing after this; it's the definitive ending, tasked with closing out every major character arc simultaneously.
