EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode is hilarious. We have this cast of exaggerated, colorful, and aristocratic characters interacting in a humble kingdom far removed from the luxuries they know. The humor is certainly good, but the characters are so one-dimensional that the jokes become very predictable. The truth is, this anime isn't bad; it's lighthearted enough to pass the time, but I feel it has potential that could be explored to make it less empty. I find it very funny that Riot, who seemed to be the most normal of the group, turns out to be strange in his own way.

Opening with humorous moments, the chaotic ensemble dynamics between the princes in this episode are very hilarious. And it doesn't seem like this will focus on a traditional romantic approach, but instead it gives off a vibe of taking care of infantile antics, which I actually find entertaining. Plus, Ani will probably face mounting exasperation all throughout this series rather than developing any romantic chemistry. And honestly, their awkward, weird and cringey demeanor is exactly what also drew my interest, aside from the very cute voice of Gurimaru.

Thomason's gifts prove just how deeply Ani is loved and appreciated by her people. It shows her impact on the community is truly genuine.
