📖 SYNOPSIS
"Who's there?" is an animated adaptation of the Rakugo story of PARROT. The narrative is brought to life by a Rakugo-ka, a single storyteller who utilizes Japanese characters to convey the tale. This animation was created as a first-year project in 2016 at the Tokyo University of the Arts, Graduate School of Film and New Media, Department of Animation. The animation focuses on the art of Rakugo, a traditional form of Japanese storytelling, and the unique way it is presented through the performance of a single individual. The project explores the intersection of traditional performance and modern animation techniques.
