Episode Context

Arriving at episode 49 of 50, this installment notably sidesteps a traditional penultimate climax, instead launching a brand-new narrative arc centered on ancient artifacts and supernatural mystery, a bold structural choice this close to the finale. It marks a clean tonal and thematic break from the preceding storylines, introducing Hisui and fresh plot threads rather than resolving existing ones. Everything here functions as setup, making the series finale's handling of this arc's payoff the critical question heading into the final episode.
