Cuticle Detective Inaba Episode 3: The Chocolate Enchantment Case / The Wolf Girl Assassination Case

This third episode doubles down on the show's signature rapid-fire gag formula by blending a chaotic Valentine's Day event with a ridiculous assassin-subversion plot. The episode brilliantly transitions from a high-energy, sugar-induced frenzy involving a mysterious batch of chocolates to a literal battle of wits against a newly introduced female assassin. It beautifully highlights the series' core strength: taking dangerous or romantic anime tropes and completely derailing them into a full-blown sensory overload of visual gags and chibi chaos.

Stella makes a fantastic first impression, and the desperate way everyone thanks her had me laughing the entire time.

This episode leans fully into the show's absurd side, and it works perfectly, also the villains are just as eccentric as the heroes by creating nonstop opportunities for hilarious misunderstandings.
