Cowboy Bebop Episode 9: Jamming with Edward

The space aircraft and mecha battle felt refreshing and new compared to their other chases which were all on-foot or on the ground. The combat really stood out to me! I wanted them to focus on that a little more, since they were literally battling an army of satellites?

This episode felt a little less serious in tone, and I didn't enjoy it that much. Ed was helpful, but having him introduced so late makes him feel a little lackluster in comparison to the other Bebop members. I think his character will grow on me though!

Ed's introduction was fun and we immediately got to see him in action. His abilities will undoubtedly be useful in future episodes as a recurring character. I initially assumed he would be the lively kid trope, but his empathy and personality makes him really entertaining!
