Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san☆
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A twelve-year-old princess from a star country in the Triangle Nebula, Comet has been sent to Earth to find a prince she's never met — recognizable only by a starlight twinkle in his eyes. That's her entire lead. She lands with her puppy Rubba Ball (little star on his tail, very good boy) and gets taken in by a warm family with twin kids, Nene and Tsuyoshi, while trying to figure out how human life even works. It's a gentle fish-out-of-water setup where the charm comes from watching Comet genuinely fall in love with Earth and the people on it, not from manufactured drama. Her magical instrument, the Tinkle Baton, lets her channel star power in small, everyday ways rather than explosive action sequences. The series runs 43 episodes and keeps a consistently cozy tone — emotional without being heavy, funny without being slapstick. There's also a rival princess, Meteor, hunting the same prince, which adds just enough friction to keep things moving. If you grew up with Ojamajo Doremi or Ultra Maniac, this sits comfortably in that same neighborhood — early 2000s magical girl energy with a soft color palette and a genuinely warm heart. It's not trying to be edgy or subversive. It's just a quiet, sweet story about a star princess learning what it means to belong somewhere.
