The flashback was actually entertaining and kinda learned a lot about the connections of it. If I think about it, it actually makes sense but he just chose the other way. The build up was good and I think that sets the mood for the next ep.

This episode showed the dangers of Shikabane through Itsuki and Takamasa. It was interesting to see the darker side of the relationship between monks and their Shikabane Hime. Cool episode, thought-provoking and entertaining.
