This episode is basically the point where Lelouch stops being just a strategist and becomes a symbol people start following. Zero's whole entrance on the trailer? Absolute main character energy. No subtlety, just authority and chaos.

Jeremiah getting Geassed into the ‘Orange Incident’ is hilarious in hindsight, but in the moment it’s actually terrifying how easily Zero flips command structures.

Zero’s public debut is pure domination—he didn’t just show up, he basically hijacked the entire city and turned an execution into a stage performance

LeLouch under the name of Zero helps Suzaku Kurugi to escape from the false murder accusation. With his mask on he confesses he was the one who killed the Prince. The whole episode is so thrilling.

Whoa, that was intense. I love the clash of conflicting philosophies. It adds real depth and makes the internal conflicts compelling to watch. The introduction of an alter ego deserves praise too as we don't get that much nowadays. Just really excited as well how this progress.

Kallen enters the scene and adds energy. Action picks up, but it’s smart and controlled. You can see why people notice Zero, and the pacing makes everything feel earned, not forced 😎.

The story is starting to build now, the pace is so slow though. I cant wait to get into the climax soon.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following episode 3's groundwork of Lelouch balancing his student life with his emerging rebellion, episode 4 marks a critical escalation — the moment the protagonist transforms from a reactive schemer into a public symbol of resistance. This is effectively the end of the series' prologue phase, establishing the core identity and stakes that will drive the remaining twenty-one episodes. It directly sets up episode 5, 'The Princess and the Witch,' which expands the political and supernatural dimensions the show is building toward.
