Episode 9 is the emotional high point of the series so far. It takes the family drama that was introduced in Episode 7 and pays it off with genuine sensitivity, using Umi's chaotic, loving family as a mirror for everything Maki has lost. The writing is sharp, the emotional beats land, and Umi's quiet support is exactly what the character needed to show. If you've been invested in this slow-burn romance, this episode is the reward.
