Episode 3 of I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class is a solid continuation. It slows down to focus on the emotional consequences of the first two episodes, and the result is a more mature, character-driven story. Maki and Umi's relationship is developing in a believable way, and the introduction of Yuu as a perceptive observer rather than a rival adds complexity. The pacing is slow, but the payoff is worth it.
