I enjoy the funny faces the characters make in this part. The art style is simple, but the character acting is very good. The pacing is steady and keeps me interested.

high stakes race across town perfectly weaves every character's weird quirks into one big, chaotic event.

Race espiode in nichijou esque anime is not on my bingo list, a great episode not gonna lie. A change in a chaos series, still chaos but more linear and understandable. Somehow despite being the most chaos episode to date it's somehow still understandable

Episode Context

Sitting at the two-thirds mark of the 13-episode season, Episode 9 pivots from the more character-focused stories of Episode 8 to a large-scale communal event that pulls the city's residents into one shared spotlight. The race format naturally weaves together previously separate character threads, reinforcing how interconnected CITY's world has become. This convergence deepens relationships and introduces new dynamics that carry forward into the season's final stretch.
