This is the episode that shows just how fragile Rosette's resolve really is. She's tough, she's determined, but the second someone mentions Joshua, all her caution goes out the window. Rizel doesn't need to fight Rosette she just needs to point her in the right direction and let her own desperation do the rest. The spider demon is a fitting antagonist.
