Esta vez nos enfocamos en la historia de Ueda y Yumi. La verdad no me emocionó mucho este capítulo, me hizo sentir que Hideki es tremendo trampolín para formas parejas menos para él.
The side characters’ story in this episode was surprisingly emotional. The narrative continues to flow well, and it kept my attention from beginning to end. What I’m most curious about now, though, is the true identity of those two Persocoms. I can’t wait to find out who they really are.
We finally understand what lies behind Yumi's unease with Ueda, and the nature of their relationship. As they each reveal their own story, Chii reaches a rather important resolution. It's a bittersweet love story, where the insecurities of someone who fears the ghost of a past partner continues to haunt the present feel very relatable. Now... How old is Yumi? 17. AND HOW OLD IS UEDA? 38!!!!!!! Therein lies the problem. It's CLAMP from the 2000s, but it's still appalling. I'm sorry, but this is a huge drop in writing quality for me. It wouldn't affect the story at all if Yumi were a few years older.
