Synopsis
Single mother Yukari Sugisawa tries to keep her life simple and orderly, but all of that gets thrown into chaos when her new neighbor Satoru makes it basically impossible. The guy is loud, unapologetic about his romantic life, and completely disrupts her routine. When she finally goes over to confront him, things don't go the way she planned. That tension between two very different people, both adults with complicated inner lives, is where this 4-episode OVA from studio Nur finds its footing. It's not just physical — there's a genuine psychological push-and-pull between characters who clearly affect each other in ways neither of them expected. The animation holds up well, putting real effort into character expressions and emotional beats rather than just the obvious moments. The soundtrack does quiet work too, keeping the atmosphere grounded rather than gratuitous. If you watched Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and wanted something with a bit more emotional texture, this scratches that itch. Fans of Ane Yome Quartet who appreciated character-driven adult stories over pure spectacle will probably find something here worth sticking with. It's a short run — four episodes — so it doesn't overstay its welcome. The story stays focused on Yukari and Satoru's dynamic without sprawling into unnecessary subplots. For an original production with no source material to lean on, it manages to build characters you actually care about following.
