The Prologue to Battle
The episode opens with a vision of raw power, Yuuki’s arm transforming into golden armor, a potent symbol of his evolving strength. Before him stands a small, green-haired girl, Mira, her cat-like eyes holding a defiant glint. A split second later, Kyouka’s determined gaze mirrors Mira’s own, signaling an inevitable confrontation. This brief, potent flash-forward establishes the stakes immediately, showing a fight that has reached its desperate climax before it even begins.
First Wave of Shikoku
After the title card, the night sky erupts with a purple energy surge, a clear herald of chaos. Kyouka descends, assessing the grim scene as Yuuki is thrown through the air, his armor already glowing, indicating the battle’s intensity. Soon, a swarm of grotesque Shikoku demons fills the city, a relentless tide of minor adversaries. Kyouka’s narrowed eyes and frustrated sound convey the overwhelming nature of this initial assault. Yuuki transforms, and they charge, a united front against the encroaching darkness.
Chains and Fury
With Kyouka riding on his shoulders, Yuuki unleashes bursts of energy from his hands, enveloping a Shikoku in light. Kyouka herself declares her special attack, using her glowing chains to kick another demon, sending it crashing to the ground. Their movements are synchronized, a powerful dance of destruction. Yuuki’s “Tenka no Ge” punch encases a demon in glowing bubbles, while Kyouka’s fiery chains slice through another, causing it to explode in sparks and blood. This coordinated assault leaves no doubt about their combined might.
The Sky Tears Open
Even as Kyouka and Yuuki dispatch the lesser Shikoku, one defiant demon taunts them, hinting at a greater, inescapable divine retribution. A vast swarm of Shikoku then appears, overwhelming the sky, a spectacle of ominous beauty. Other members of the Anti-Demon Corps, Tenka and Himari, are shown on the defensive, shielding civilians. Just when the tide seems dire, police cars arrive, their glowing hands signaling more defenders. Then, a pulsing purple portal tears open the heavens, and from it, Mirai emerges, powerful and self-assured, announcing herself with a cryptic name.
Divine Counsel
Mirai’s reflection gleams in Kyouka and Yuuki’s eyes, a direct challenge to their resolve. Sparks and lightning erupt around them as they power up, shouting “Ten Jin,” ready to meet her head-on. Kyouka declares her intent to answer the feelings of those relying on them, a vow of commitment. But Mirai has her own surprise, manifesting multiple glowing purple arms, announcing her “Hyakuwan Shingi,” or Hundred Arms Divine Council. She proclaims herself a god, beautiful and overwhelming.
Kyouka's Full Power
In the face of Mirai’s boast, Kyouka’s eyes glow, her face transforming into a more demonic, intensely focused expression. She is surrounded by blue and gold energy, explaining that she is removing her limiter, enhancing her movements dramatically. This is an ability developed specifically for facing powerful threats. Mirai, though momentarily surprised, grins menacingly, eager for the fight. She strikes first, her many arms hitting Kyouka and drawing blood, believing her chains to be ordinary.
The Relentless Assault
Yuuki retaliates, his glowing chains striking Mirai and causing her to vanish in a puff of smoke, a momentary victory. However, Mirai swiftly reappears, creating multiple clones of herself, turning their numerical advantage against them. Kyouka charges, her sword cutting through the copies with ease, refusing to be tricked. They clash head-on, Mirai’s numerous arms meeting Kyouka and Yuuki’s powerful counter-attack, which sends Mirai screaming into the sky as the landscape shatters around them.
Mirai's Fall
Despite being thrown, Mirai’s eyes glow with fierce determination, vowing to continue the fight. Yuuki charges again, but Mirai delivers a devastating blow, sending both Kyouka and Yuuki to the ground, injured and bleeding. Mirai grins, but Kyouka, reflecting on their past battles, finds new resolve. Empowered by Yuuki’s golden energy, she attacks Mirai again, slashing through her arms. With a final, decisive blow, Kyouka defeats Mirai, who falls, broken, to the ground. Kyouka decides to capture her, and Yuuki binds the struggling, enraged Mirai with his chains, leaving her humiliated and despairing.
The Morning After
The battle concluded, Kyouka and Yuuki walk away into the moonlit night, leaving a chained Mirai behind. The scene then abruptly shifts to Yuuki waking up in his bed, yawning, a stark return to mundane life. Himari bursts into his room, cheerful and boisterous, informing him he’d been unconscious for two days after the Yokohama battle. She playfully pinches his cheek, teasing him, before offering to make breakfast and prepare a bath. Yuuki’s polite thanks leads to an accidental transformation into his armored form, much to Himari’s amusement and his utter embarrassment.
Himari's Affection (and Teasing)
Himari continues to tease a flustered Yuuki, laughing as he pleads for her to stop. She peeks back into the room for one last jab before running off, leaving Yuuki exhausted and resigned, hiding his face under a pillow. His quiet sigh acknowledges his new reality: a life where powerful battles are followed by affectionate, albeit embarrassing, domestic moments. Despite the teasing, there’s a clear undercurrent of genuine care and affection in Himari’s actions, establishing their unique, intertwined relationship.
