Chaika -The Coffin Princess- Avenging Battle

They have some nice twists and strong dialogue, though I don't buy Emperor Gaz' reason for dying and being revived. It feels more like an excuse to create a second season. It could have been a compelling plot, but I think the problem lies in how they delivered that part. I especially feel that everything was rushed, with only two episodes dedicated to the main event. A newly revived and more powerful Emperor Gaz gets barely two episodes of screen time? Still, it's good for passing the time.

Okay, this part really feels rushed. I think it's such a waste because their attacks are just as powerful as they are awesome. Why waste such incredible attack stunt sequences on a rushed plot?

It's supposed to be action-packed, but just as the action starts, it comes to an abrupt halt for a respite. It feels a bit lacking, but it's still fine overall.

There's a decent amount of action, but the focus is more on piecing together the mystery, revelations, and foreshadowing the ending. It's a familiar type of plot, so we're mostly waiting to see what happens next.

The story moves forward at a steady pace, but they are introducing more Chaikas along the way. It's clearly setting the stage for the main event. I just hope they provide a proper explanation for Niva's screen time.

It's exciting to see the White and Red Chaikas working together. But, I'll give the most credit here to the transformation, which for you to discover. I didn't see it coming, and it was awesome.

They have a fine story about the purpose of the Chaikas. However, it still feels like this sequel wasn't entirely necessary after the war. Even so, it's worth watching to see if this season can maintain its momentum.

The narration is solid, and the pacing is fast enough to get the story moving. It's also much clearer about the numerous Chaikas, making it easier to tell them apart and choose which ones to root for.

The animation is great, almost eye candy. One thing I liked here is the revisiting of explanation that long spells delay attacks, which has been common in other older anime. We've always wondered why enemies don't attack while the characters are still chanting. Good they pointed that out.

The first episode jumps straight into the story. It clearly establishes the current plot and how it differs from Season 1. The recap feels a bit like an information overload, but at least it sets clear expectations for the sequel.

A strong and emotional finale that wraps up the series. The stakes are high, and every main character gets a chance to shine. Chaika's journey comes full circle as she finally chooses her own path, making for a satisfying and heartfelt ending.

Not as combative as I thought it would be but weirdly it is fitting for the story line. I do feel like the was a lot going, too many storylines so it was abit too hard to follow.

The dialogue between Toru and Chaika was beautiful. We get to see her become vulnerable about her identity and being stuck between a rock and a hard place- what is causing her to still continue collecting remains knowing what she knows now. Nice pace and build up through this episode.

This episode okay, not much happening apart from the dialogues which are a build up to the tournament. Not as captivity to be honest.

Okay, the technology references here are actually insane man I love that. It feels like it was ahead of its time. I like how everyone was collaborative in this episode to escape the lab. I wish there was a little bit more combat but other than that it was a good watch.

Okay, it felt like the soundtrack in this episode made sense. It built the tense and suspense. I enjoyed the pace of this episode. The way the origins of the island and its activities are unpacked. I loved that.

I enjoyed the playful nature at the beginning. Which is what was needed for the characters to just unwind for a bit before embarking on this mission. I wish there was more build up to them looking for the remains. I still Enjoyed the episode though, it was filled with emotion.

Claude really is that girl. 🔥 I loved the combat in this episode, it perfectly showcased how meticulous, calculated, and strategic she is. Every move felt intentional, making the fight even more satisfying to watch.

What a great start to the second season. Loved the pace, dialogues and combat- nice and clean. If you for some reason have not watched season 1. It’s easy to grasp what’s happening and I love that.
