Episode Context

At the one-third mark of the series, this episode arrives just after Aya has begun reckoning with her celestial heritage, shifting the focus inward toward the Mikage family's own buried secrets and what their lineage truly means. It functions as a crucial bridge, moving the story from personal awakening into something more institutional and threatening. What gets seeded here feeds directly into 'The Angel's Promise,' where the family's enigmatic past continues to unravel at an accelerating pace.
