Episode Context

This episode transitions cleanly from the 'Taiko Meijin's Match of Love' two-parter, shifting from shogi intrigue to a standalone summer mystery at a hotel pool. As a Part 1, it establishes the crime and key suspects, directly setting up 'The Mystery Sinking in the Midsummer Pool (Part 2)' for resolution. It's a self-contained case with no overarching plot implications, making it an accessible entry point for the series' episodic mystery format.
