A more grounded case involving money, business, and shady dealings. The motive feels very human compared to some of the more dramatic episodes. Kogoro is quite involved again, while Conan keeps correcting things silently. Ran’s presence adds a bit of warmth in between the tension. It’s not flashy, but the realism makes it interesting in its own way.

Episode Context

This episode transitions from the supernatural overtones of 'The Death God Jinnai Murder Case' back to a more traditional, logic-driven investigation, showcasing the series' range within its mystery format. It serves as a grounded palate cleanser before the next episode, 'Conan vs. Phantom Thief Kid,' which shakes up the formula entirely by introducing a charismatic rival character. Positioned at episode 75, it sits comfortably in the show's early stretch where standalone cases continue to refine Conan's investigative identity.
